Complete the inspection log for today’s batch of blown glass vessels: record measured weights, diameters, and visual defects for items B-101 through B-150, note any out-of-spec parts, and email the summary to Leah in production with a recommended hold or release decision by end of shift.

Before I send the quality summary to Leah, make the spreadsheet make decisions easy: show the pass/fail count and the three worst measured deviations up top, make the dimensional tolerances visible next to each measured value, create a single column that flags parts requiring rework, and highlight any trending drift across this batch versus last week’s averages.

This morning I measured a cluster of vessels that are consistently 1.8 to 2.2 millimetres under nominal diameter across ten pieces. I’m concerned the mould temperature or wall thickness changed, but I can’t tell if the difference is measurement error or production drift. What is the most likely cause and what quick checks should I do now before quarantining the rest of the batch and notifying Leah?

I keep losing time reconciling weights and dimensions because bench techs hand in logs in different column orders, units, and rounding. Over six months this cost me many hours and occasional wrong release decisions.
