What is an Information Architect?
Information Architects structure data for usability and findability. They create wireframes, sitemaps, and taxonomies to organize information for websites, applications, and other digital platforms. They focus on user experience and ensuring information is easily accessible.
You spend much of each day in email, modeling schemas, and coordinating with system and software architects to capture business requirements and constraints. Tasks include developing high-level and detailed database architectures, sketching data models for metadata tables and views, documenting schemas with accepted notations, and planning integration, clusters, backups and recovery so applications perform securely and reliably.
